A Prayer Request

Today Judy and I drive to Llangasty in Wales to begin a five day retreat with Mike Endicott. This is the real reason for coming over here. I don’t know what the retreat will entail. I don’t how God will work. I just know He called us here.

God has blessed both of us immensely on thus trip: our time in London, our visit with Robbie and Hannah, our time at Bodysgallen Hotel, His protection while driving, the climb up Snowdon, the walk along the coast which we didn’t plan or expect, and in our time together, which has been very sweet; and in many smaller ways. Each day we have told Jesus that we are grateful. A big part of the beauty and power of this trip has been your prayers. We are not only grateful to God; we are grateful for you.

My prayer request today is that I will let go off everything I have in my head about the Kingdom of God on this retreat. Not to forget what God has shown me but to not enter this retreat in teacher mode. To relax and rest in Him. To let Him be the author of every thought, word, and action during the week (actually for the rest of my life, but I’ll begin small). To receive whatever He has for me, including any correction. I want to be a blessing to everyone I meet, and a blessing to Judy.

Please pray that God will work powerfully in Judy’s heart. That He will become real to her in a way she has not yet experienced.

I don’t know who is reading these posts. Most of you are probably dear, beloved really, family and friends. Some have stumbled on this site. But if you have been praying for us I can tell you your prayers are having a powerful impact. Thank you. We love you.
