Africa Day 4

Aside from not sleeping well from jet lag, the trip is going well. Today we travelled outside of Kampala to visit a village that is being supported by a ministry called KDI – Kuwomo Development Initiative, a subsidary of Eagles Wings International. They knew we were coming and prepared a ceremony for us. Dancing, singing, and praying. It was hot outside but the school children seemed to have a good time with the Muzungu. Judy was a star attraction. Many little girls followed her around the school yard. It was an amazing time. These kids have almost no material possessions. Most are barefoot. Probably one school outfit and a t-shirt and pair of shorts.

There was a misunderstanding and the church at which we were to minister at the afternoon held the program in the morning while we were at the school. No worries. We were where we were supposed to be.

At dinner we met Pastor Steven Sebyala, an evangelist who is reaching 100,000’s of souls in east Africa. We will worship and minister at his church tomorrow morning and tomorrow evening. Looks like things are about to get hot. During dinner Pastor Steven said too many Ugandan’s have not heard the true gospel. I was wondering what the true gospel was for him. And then he said the gospel of the Kingdom of God. Hallelujah. Can’t wait to here him preach tomorrow. We get up early and spend most of the day in ministry and worship. It will be a good day.

One piece of news: Judy and I are going to remain in Africa to meet and travel with the team from FPC.
