20 Days of Prayer Day 15 "Our God! Savior, Redeemer, Restorer

“He who dwells in the shadow (the secret place) of the Most High will rest in the shadow of the Almighty. I will say of the Lord, “He is my refuge, and my fortress, my God, in whom I trust”. Surely He will save me from the fowler’s snare and from the deadly pestilence” (Psalm 91: 1 – 3).

Father God,
You are sovereign, and we are Your children.
We come to you in this time as a child to his parent.
We dwell in the shelter of the Most High.
You embrace us and comfort us.
You cover us with your feathers, and we find refuge under Your wings.
You are faithful, You go before us and never forsake us. (Deuteronomy 31:8)
How can we fear or be discouraged when You are our refuge and strength.

Father we cannot help but humble ourselves before You and confess we have not been as faithful to You as you have been to us.
Thank You for using this pestilence to remind us of Your sovereignty, to remind us of our need to trust only in You, to depend on You and You alone.
We ask for Your protection.
We ask that You would lift this virus from among us and carry it away.
We thank You that even though we are apart, we are never separated from Your love or from our love for each other because our minds and hearts are united and one through Christ Jesus our Lord.
It is in the name of Jesus Christ that we pray, and through His power we command this virus to cease and be no more.

Amen
