40 Days of Prayer Day 17 “In A Changing World, We Have God – Our Rock”

Let everything that has breath praise the Lord! Praise the Lord!”  (Psalm 150:6 NIV)

Father God, You are good. You are praiseworthy. Everything You do is mighty. All we have comes from You.

You have showed us how You love us. You were willing to sacrifice your Son so we could be redeemed and in relationship with You. You assured us that You would never leave us or forsake us, and when Jesus ascended into heaven, You sent Your Holy Spirit to be with us. Father, You are magnificent!

In spite of our world changing in such a drastic manner, we still have You. We long to worship in a physical community, not just virtually. We are comforted knowing You are working this for good; when the body of believers reunites, it will be with a song of joy and a shout of praise!

So, as we near Pentecost, we pray for a deeper faith and a deeper relationship with You, Lord. We long for Your gifts to be activated within us so we can love each other better, reach the unsaved, and bring glory to You. We pray that this season will not pass us by as onlookers from the sidelines. We long to be the music of Your heart as we touch others with Your love and Your saving grace.

In Jesus’ name,

Amen
