This prayer appears six times in the Psalms:

“Here my prayer, LORD; listen to my cry for mercy” (Psalm 86: 6 NIV).
Lord, please hear me when I pray to you and listen to my cries for mercy. It is my desire to be with You and seek You in prayer. If there is anything which is hindering my prayers to You, please tell me. Give me a clean heart and a willing mind before You.

If my heart is hard, please soften it.
If my neck is stiff, please move it.
If my mind is not completely open to You, please open it.
If my attitude is poor, please change it.

Holy Spirit, please teach me how to hear and be heard by You.
