Yom Kippur

Today, Jews around the world are repenting on this last of 10 days of atonement called the days of awe. Today they are repenting of the 10th commandment “thou shalt not covet”. Today is Yom Kippur.

I thank God for our Jewish brothers and sisters and for their faithfulness, although imperfect, like us, to the One and only God.

Can we join them today, repenting of our covetousness, asking God to give us a new heart?
