Workshop in Yamaguchi Finished. On to Tokyo

We finished the physical healing module today, bringing this healing workshop to a close. We had a wonderful time. There were 63 attendees in total. 17 of them were pastors. At the end of the workshop there seemed to be real energy in the room to begin using spiritual deliverance and emotional and physical healing as discipleship and evangelism tools. Physical healing is also very easy for children to learn and apply.

It is difficult to quantify spiritual deliverance and emotional healing. I have prayed for about 11 people so far on the trip. All said they received a lot of peace and freedom. Some of their stories were horrific. They really are a testimony to the tenacity of the human will to survive. But the emotional and spiritual price they paid was steep. It was a blessing to see their countenances change as they were able to let go of a lot of hurt and pain. And they looked and acted like ‘normal’ people. By the way all were Christians.

We saw a lot of physical healing. One pastor testified that he has had constant pain for the last 8 months in his shoulder. After a 19 year old prayed for him the pain was gone. At least 10 other people had pain completely leave their bodies.

One woman came to me asking for prayer to heal her headache. For some reason I asked her to first tell me about anger in her life. She was surprised but admitted she was angry with her sister. She confessed her anger to God and then said, “Lord with your help I choose today to give all this anger I have toward my sister to you.” She closed her eyes and felt Jesus pull the anger out of her heart and take it up into heaven. When I asked her how she felt she said, “I feel lighter, at peace.” “Great”, I said, “now I can pray for your headache.” “Oh”, she said, “the headache is gone.”

We have seen so many people set free from emotional hurt and pain and spiritual oppression. In less than half an hour of prayer (and the workshop participants did the praying) we saw many set free from pain. I am beginning to understand a little bit of what Peter, John and the other disciples must have felt in those early years after the resurrection – the power of God moving among His people in tangible ways.

The Christians in Japan are hungry for healing and the Kingdom of God. They have really blessed me with their love for Jesus and gratitude for our visit.

I am getting weary. Keep those prayers coming. They are really powerful. Many thanks and God bless you from Japan.

John
